Enjoying Marine Tourism in an Environmentally Friendly manner
When traveling marine tourism, make sure we do not disturb the biodiversity habitat that exists there. Quoting Ecotourism World, here are several ways to enjoy marine tourism that do not disturb the marine environment.
1. Engine Powered Boat Tour
Sometimes, to enjoy views of the sea and its ecosystem, tourists have to take a boat. If possible, use a ride-hailing service that uses an engine-powered boat to reduce noise that might disturb marine animals.
2. Use sunscreen that is safe for coral reefs
Sunscreen or sunscreen is important to use when doing activities at the beach or sea so that the skin is protected from solar radiation. However, some types of sunscreen contain substances that are bad for the health of coral reefs. When diving, use sunscreen that is safe for coral reefs, for example made from organic ingredients or does not contain active chemicals.
3. Throw away rubbish in the right place
When traveling on marine tourism, we need to be extra careful with rubbish, because it can be consumed by marine animals accidentally or damage the coral reef ecosystem. Dispose of rubbish in the right place or use recycled packaging so it doesn't have to be thrown away straight away.
