- In a busy crowd, sometimes there are those who stand out more than others. Such was the case with two Indian men whose height surpassed the average, so much so that they were proudly called the 'Kashmir Giants.
In a society filled with a variety of skin colors, hair, and body shapes, height is often a prominent characteristic.
The average human height in the world may be around 5 feet 9 inches, but there are those who far exceed that standard.

The story of these two tall Kashmiri men was revealed when an American photographer, James Ricalton, captured their rare moment in the midst of the Delhi Durbar celebrations in 1903.

According to History Defined, the durbar was a celebration celebrating the coronation of King Edward VII as Emperor of India, and Lord George Curzon, who was then governor general of India, sought to make the celebration unforgettable.
These two Kashmiri men, who were twin brothers and served in the army of the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir, were the highlight of the grand celebrations.

With a height reaching 7 feet 9 inches and 7 feet 4 inches, they attract the attention of many people who are mesmerized by their impressive posture.

Ricalton, who believes that photography is a powerful educational tool, took the opportunity to capture the moment in some stunning photos.
