RI Citizens Are Seriously Addicted. Spent 64.8 Billion Hours on These Apps

- Indonesian people can no longer be separated from social media. This can be seen in the latest 'Media State of Mobile 2024' report released by Data.AI.
Reports show that Indonesian citizens spend the most time exploring applications on YouTube. During 2023, the total time spent will be 69.9 billion hours. This duration increased by 3% year-on-year (YoY).
Second place is occupied by TikTok. Indonesian citizens scrolled the application in total for 64.8 billion hours throughout 2023 or an increase of 33% YoY.
Then in third place, Indonesian citizens spend the most time on WhatsApp. The total duration is 59.1 billion hours. That number actually fell 8% YoY.
In sequence, the other applications most frequently tried by Indonesian citizens throughout 2023 are Instagram, Chrome, Facebook, Samsung TouchWiz Home, Shopee, Fizzo, MX Player, and X.
Meanwhile, the 'king' of applications in RI is still dominated by Meta services. The Data.AI report divides the apps with the largest monthly active users (MAU) by age group and gender. Here's the list:

- Masyarakat Indonesia sudah tak bisa lepas dari media sosial. Hal tersebut tampak pada laporan terbaru 'Media State of Mobile 2024' yang dirilis Data.AI.
Laporan menunjukkan warga RI paling banyak menghabiskan waktu penjajalan aplikasi di YouTube. Selama 2023, total waktu yang dihabiskan 69,9 miliar jam. Durasi itu meningkat 3% secara tahun-ke-tahun (YoY).
Peringkat kedua diduduki TikTok. Warga RI secara total scrolling aplikasi tersebut selama 64,8 miliar jam sepanjang 2023 atau naik 33% YoY.
Lantas di peringkat ketiga, warga RI paling banyak menghabiskan waktu di WhatsApp. Total durasinya 59,1 miliar jam. Angka itu sebenarnya turun 8% YoY.
Secara berurutan, aplikasi lain yang paling sering dijajal warga RI sepanjang 2023 adalah Instagram, Chrome, Facebook, Samsung TouchWiz Home, Shopee, Fizzo, MX Player, dan X.
Sementara itu, untuk 'raja' aplikasi di RI masih didominasi oleh layanan-layanan Meta. Laporan Data.AI membagi aplikasi dengan pengguna aktif bulanan (MAU) terbesar berdasarkan kelompok usia dan gender. Berikut daftarnya:
