Israel Urged, Now 'Begging' to Meta and Tiktok to Delete 8000 Hamas Supporting Accounts
Apart from facing Palestinian defenders in the war, Israel is apparently also being attacked via social media.
After being pinched, Israel has now asked social media Meta and TikTok to delete more than 8,000 pro-Palestinian content.
Reported by Forbes.com, Meta and TikTok have received more than 8,000 requests from Israel to remove pro-Palestinian content.
According to the Israeli prosecutor's office, thousands of pieces of content violated the policy.
Currently, 94 percent of the content on the main site that was flagged has been removed.
In addition to the content, Israel also requested that several songs praising Hamas, which “serve as soundtracks for thousands of videos on TikTok,” be removed.
Regarding this, TikTok said that its policy is to delete all pro-Hamas content once the content is identified.
Including deleting videos that play songs about the struggle of Palestinian defenders.
It is known that policies for moderating infringing content vary by platform. However, Google, TikTok and Facebook ban material that promotes or is produced by certain groups, including Hamas
