- Israel deployed a giant bulldozer measuring 8 meters to carry out the invasion of Gaza. Being armored makes this vehicle difficult to destroy.
The Israeli military has deployed hundreds of thousands of troops and tanks on the Gaza border to launch a massive ground offensive in retaliation against Hamas. A bulldozer named D9R will be key to the operation.
Caterpillar bulldozers are built with D9R armor that can repel rockets, overcome labyrinths of tunnels and sniper positions. With the addition of 15 tons of armor and reinforced blades, this monster is nearly impenetrable to weapons or explosives.

The vehicle nicknamed Doobi or Teddy Bear was first used by the Israeli Defense Forces in the 1950s.
Until now, Israel often makes modifications to open the way for tanks and troops. Because to reach the Hamas stronghold, Israeli military forces must penetrate several lines of defense, including mines, mortar targets and anti-tank weapons.

Along the way, the D9R material was upgraded with slat armor in 2015 to increase protection against rocket-propelled grenades widely used by Hamas in previous conflicts.
The D9R bulldozer is powered by a Cat 3408C engine capable of producing 405 horsepower and towing more than 70 tons. This not only helps the bulldozer overcome obstacles, but also enables various infrastructure support roles such as digging trenches and building bridges or defensive structures.
This "Teddy Bear" can also be equipped with a machine gun installation, grenade launcher, or smoke projector for additional combat capabilities.
In 2018, the Israeli army also began deploying and operating the D9R Panda, a remotely operated version of the bulldozer for more hostile environments.

The price of the D9R is unknown as the vehicle was purchased directly from Caterpillar by the Israeli military and then equipped with their special armor.
However, the price of a new Cat D9 bulldozer is at least USD 900,000 (around Rp. 14 billion), this does not include additional improvements made by the Israeli military, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Militer Israel telah mengerahkan ratusan ribu tentara dan tank di perbatasan Gaza guna melancarkan serangan darat besar-besaran sebagai balasan pada Hamas. Buldoser bernama D9R akan menjadi kunci operasi tersebut.
Buldoser Caterpillar dibuat dengan lapis baja D9R yang dapat menangkis roket, mengatasi labirin terowongan dan posisi penembak jitu. Dengan tambahan baju besi seberat 15 ton dan bilah yang diperkuat, monster ini hampir tidak bisa ditembus senjata atau bahan peledak.
