Yo! The Land of the Rising Sun surely has a lot to share with the world. But today, let me share with you another disturbing urban legend. If you were alone in your house, read this at your own risk.

The Girl from the Gaps is a Japanese urban legend about a girl who lives in the gaps or hidden spaces within the victim's house. The entity appears to be an extremely slender female humanoid of indeterminate age. No one knows where the girl came from.

The girl habitually occupies the gaps of her chosen victim's house. These gaps includes a slightly opened door, the sliver of darkness from a partially opened cabinet or drawer and even on the cracks in your wall. The girl is often happy to simply exist, allowing her prey to go to their daily life uninterrupted. The victim is usually unaware of her existence except for the nagging sensation that he feels like he is being watched when no one is at home. Victim may also feel uneasiness on sleeping when the cabinet is open.

The girl has a mischiveous habit of ducking whenever the gap that she occupies is on the field of vision of the victim. Eventually, curiosity will took its toll on the victim and he will check out some of the gaps in his house. This is the time that the victim will surely has an eye contact with the girl. When this happen, the girl will ask the victim to play hide and seek with her and the victim will be compelled to answer yes. She will hide and the victim must look for her or else he will loose. Once the victim sees the girl for the second time, she will drag him to hell or to a parallel world, depending on the girl's liking.

Now that you have known about her, are you sure that you are alone tonight? Do you have a feeling that you are being watched? Did you see a girl peeking in the spaces with your peripheral vision? I hope you will have a good sleep. Ciao!
