A video uploaded on social media shows several people intercepting an ambulance that was about to deliver aid to earthquake victims in Cianjur Regency, West Java. 

In the video, several residents can be seen standing on the side of the road and stopping an ambulance from passing. 

The uploader of the video @kangjail on social media Twitter said the incident occurred on Jalan Cungeang, Cianjur Regency. 

"Viral... The ambulance was stopped when we were going to the location. We were intercepted... people asked for help to be dropped off here while we were going to the end... these people stopped all the cars that were there without exception the ambulance, the location is not far from Cigunang Middle School ( Cugenang) Rancagoong. be careful for all volunteers "wrote @kangjaill. 

The perpetrator was arrested by the police
Reported by Tribun Jabar, Wednesday (23/11/2022), Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the West Java Regional Police (Polda), Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Ibrahim Tompo, has confirmed the incident of blocking the ambulance. 

Ibrahim also said that currently the perpetrator has been arrested by the police. 

"The perpetrator has been arrested, now he is being investigated again. We are waiting for the results," said Ibrahim. 

Previously, on Monday (21/11/2022) at 13.21 WIB, Cianjur Regency was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 which caused many casualties to massive damage. 

The death toll from this earthquake is also reported to be increasing. 

Based on the latest records from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Wednesday (23/11/2022) at 17.00 WIB, the death toll increased to 271 people. 

In addition, the Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), Lieutenant General (Letjen) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Suharyanto said that 40 residents were reportedly still missing. 

He detailed that the 39 residents who were still missing were in Cugenang District, while the other was in Warung Kondang District.
