Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank Dies

Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger in the 1990s Power Rangers series, has died at the age of 49.

Frank played Tommy Oliver in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for three years from 1993 to 1996.

Power Rangers tells the story of five teenagers who are tasked with saving Earth from evil.

The series debuted on the Fox television network in the US in 1993 and went on to become a global pop culture phenomenon and loved by children the world over.

Frank was originally only contracted to play a role in 14 episodes. However, Frank was apparently so popular that he was cast as one of the main characters in Power Rangers.

Although Frank started out as the evil Green Ranger, he eventually turned into a defender of good and became the White Ranger.

Reported by Sky News, Sunday (20/11/2022), Frank has starred in more than 120 episodes of Power Rangers.

Frank also appeared in a number of Power Rangers spin-off shows recently in 2018.

Frank's manager, Justine Hunt, confirmed in a statement that Frank had died in Texas.

He did not elaborate on giving the actor's cause of death or say when exactly he died.

Frank himself was born in the City of Covina, California, USA.

He married his first wife in the 1990s and the couple has two sons and a daughter. They divorced in 2001.

In 2003, Frank married his second wife, Tammie, and they have a daughter. He filed for divorce earlier this year.

As news of his death began to circulate, Frank's co-star, Walter Jones, wrote on Instagram, "My heart breaks to lose another member of our special family."
