Yadnya KASODO" of Mt. Bromo
This annual traditional "thanks giving" festival is the biggest celebration of Tengger ethnic settled down around Mt. Bromo (2.400 m). Called "Kasodo" as comes to the 10th month based on local Javanese Tengger calendar measures.
After midnight and blessed by the appointed "dukun" (shaman), local people happily brought the offerings to the top of the mountain and threw them away as sign of thankful to the mountain spirits who had given them fertility land and successful harvest in the year before.
One of the difficulties taking the picture here is "low light" condition. Despite the entourage was walking fast enough to the top of mountain compared city person like me.
