Wonderful emergency services and supporting preparations for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral

Our Prevention and Protection Officers have been working day and night behind the scenes, carrying out inspections, and supporting preparations for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
They've been carrying out checks on temporary accommodation for police and military personnel, checking temporary structures erected for the media, and carried out over 500 checks of transport hubs, hotels and businesses.
It isn't the most visible work as part of the funeral preparations, but is absolutely essential for keeping people safe.
